To become a Christian is to accept that you need a relationship with the true, living God. We do need that relationship because we are all guilty of sin and are spiritually dead.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23
Jesus died on the cross at Calvary so that our sins are forgiven and if we confess our sins, He forgives us, and we are assured of eternity in heaven.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
God desires to have a personal relationship with you!
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3:20
To start building that relationship, pray to receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour in this way;
‘Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God, that you died for my sins and you rose from the dead. My sins are forgiven and I am a new person in You Lord Jesus. Thank you for filling me with the Holy Spirit who will guide me in Your ways. Thank you for forgiving and loving me. Amen’
It will help your spiritual growth immensely to become part of a Christian Church and fellowship with other believers.
